A predisposition of survey respondents to select certain answers on questionnaires irrespective of the questions that are asked.

Most commonly response styles are discussed in the context of rating scales. For example:

  • Preferring to give high ratings.
  • Preferring to give low ratings.

  • Yea-saying bias
