Links help a Viewer of your document jump to different pages within or URLs outside your document. You can create links by selecting text or another object on your page and then going to Anything > Advanced > Page Design > Link.
Features
Below are the options available from the Link menu:
- Web Page - only the http, https and ftp URLs are allowed. You can also specify if you'd like to Open this link in a new tab.
- Page in this Document - links to a particular page in your current Displayr document such as a Table of Contents or Home page. You can also specify if you'd like to Open this link in a new tab.
- Back - goes backward in your browser history.
- Forward - goes forward in your browser history.
- Previous Page - goes to the previous page in your document.
- Next Page - goes to the next page in your document.
How to use these features
General steps to insert a link to your document.
- Select the object or text that you would like to add the link to.
- Select the desired option from the Anything > Advanced > Page Design > Link menu.
- If selecting Web Page or Page in this Document:
- Specify what the URL or page title to link to
- Check the Open this link in a new tab box to open the link in a new tab
- Click OK
- If selecting Web Page or Page in this Document:
More Details
- You can remove a link on an object by going to Anything > Advanced > Page Design > Link > Web Page and delete the Address - click OK.
- To see if there is a link already on an object, select the object and go to the Anything > Advanced > Page Design > Link menu to see if there is an option highlighted in the menu.
- If outputs on your page are interactive, you will not be able to create a link on top of them. This most notably includes visuals created from the Visualizations menu.
